Campaign For Eunice

Campaign For Eunice Mugati * Kenya Works

Eunice Mugati lives with her husband and two children, Precious and Cynthia, in Kenya’s Central Province. We took this photo of Eunice 4 years ago standing outside her parents’ mud hut. Her life was full of hope. She wanted to be a dress maker.

She apprenticed to a tailor in Nairobi for 50 cents a day and for months walked to work in the dark and home in the dark. This life was a luxury she couldn’t afford even though she lived in the slums.

Eunice’s daughter Precious was born on the first day of the Post-Election Violence. She and her husband lost the little they owned in the violence, and the family fled to the Mount Kenya area. Now Eunice raises chickens and sells eggs for 7 cents apiece to meet her family’s needs. She fights drought and coccidia.

“My hope is to start a dressmaking business near my home and fulfil my vision, which I know I will”. Eunice’s life is still full of hope. PLEASE HELP EUNICE. $300 will fulfill her vision. Please help with $1.00.

Make the difference you always dreamed of making.
