Catherine Reichert has been an active, loyal supporter of Kenya Works. She saw the completion of one library and plans to see two more serving Kenya’s poor rural population. One of these libraries will provide free Internet service which is unknown in the area. Katie gladly forgoes a manicure to buy books and bricks.

Thanks to Katie Reichert, the empty room with dirt floors and no windows at Nyange Primary School was transformed into the Reichert Library. Katie donated the funds, and the library is a memorial to her husband, her son and her son-in-law. Katie is planning her second trip to Kenya as she nears 80. She is actively working to see that two more libraries are built in Kenya, including Horizon Community Library which will serve several thousand people.
Several of Katie’s children help Kenya Works by supporting a variety of projects.
