Empowering Women

Women's Entrepreneurship

We know that when we support the women of the community, we are also supporting their families and surrounding networks. That is why we actively develop and collaborate with women's groups in Kenya to support opportunities of self sufficiency and increase financial literacy and income generation to make a positive change and substantial impact.

Makini Initiative

A confident girl, a brighter future

More than 65 percent of women and girls in Kenya do not have access to sanitary pads. The lack of safe, affordable and appropriate methods for dealing with menstruation has far-reaching implications for their physical, social and mental well-being.

Kenya Works Community Works

These workshops focus on abuse awareness, education, communication and empowerment. We hold one-day, basic-concept workshops and comprehensive, four-day Community Works training programs. Those who have completed the training are, in turn, leading awareness programs within their own communities and advancing these important messages.
